India has earned 100 million dollars till date by launching foreign satellites and aims to launch more 28 foreign satellites between 2015 and 2017 which will give a great boost to the earnings in the coming years.
This information was given by science and technology minister Jitendar Singh in a written reply in loksabha on Wednesday.
Until now 45 satellites have been launched by ISRO from different countries and the total income earned by this is 78.5 million Euros and 17 million USD.
Singh also informed that more 15 smaller PSLV would be launched between 2017-2020.
The objective of the project is to develop a satellite for SAARC region which enables our neighborhood to access all the facilities such as telecommunication and broadcasting , DTH etc.
