Jammu and Kashmir education minister Naeem Akhtar was attacked by a petrol bomb on Monday night at his house which is located in the heart of Srinagar.
Luckily Akhtar and his family were not present inside the house at the time of the attack, Soon after taking charge as minister, he had shifted residence to high-security Gupkar following security concerns.
A close relative of Akhtar, however, has been occupying the house.
He is being also attacked before where stones were thrown at his car while he was travelling to his hometown.
There have been attacks on ministers in the region of Jammu and Kashmir recently.
In an another attack soon after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, protestors had set fire to a building in Kokernag belonging to MLA Abdul Rahim Rather.
