Curfew on eid day in Kashmir :- A man was killed and several people were injured in firing as protesters clashed with security forces on Tuesday morning in Bandipore.
The Army, which has been asked to be on standby, will step in if there is a fresh outbreak of violence in the Valley.
Helicopters and drones are keeping a bird’s eye vigil from the skies.
It will help giving early warning to security forces in case of assembly of people in certain areas, the sources said.
The separatists have also called on protesters to block a national highway in the Valley.
Eighty people have been killed and more than 10,000 injured in clashes between security forces and protesters that have raged across Kashmir since Burhan Wani.
Internet services have been shut down and all mobile telephony except that of the BSNL shut down for the next 72 hours.
The sources said that people will, however, be allowed to offer Eid prayers in local mosques.
Major telecom services like Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone and Reliance have been ordered to shut down their services with immediate effect for 72 hours.
There has never been a Curfew on eid day in Kashmir and it's a shocking incident for all.
