Two buses and a fuel tanker collided on a key highway in Afghanistan on Sunday killing 73 people and many injured.

The buses were on the way and travelling one behind the other from Kabul to Kandahar when the accident took place, said Mohammadullah Ahmadi, director of the provincial traffic department.

The crash resulted in a fire in the fuel tanker which later exploded resulting fire in the buses too and creating a great impact of the explosion.

You won't be able to see the accident site area, as the body parts are scattered around impacted by the blast in fire tanker.

The collision happened at 7 a.m. on the main highway linking the capital, Kabul, to the southern city of Kandahar. Salangi said the road had been cleared and reopened by early afternoon.

The crash happened when a bus full of passengers had tried to pass a slow-moving fuel tanker and crashed head-on into another fully loaded bus coming from the opposite direction.

Road accidents happen due to poor road conditions and poor traffic law enforced.
