A 24-year-old woman who worked for Infosys a major IT company was hacked to death on Friday morning at a railway station in Chennai.

The man who killed her was a stalker who stalked her for months.

The attacker approached her when she was waiting for her train as per her daily schedule at 6.45 am at the Nungambakkam railway station.

Witnesses told the police that the man approached her and after they had a heated argument the man attacked her with a farming tool sickle, which he has carried in his bag.

He attacked the woman on the neck and face very brutally she immediately collapsed after the hit stroke.

The biggest minus point of the station is that there are no CCTV cameras installed in one of the busiest station in Chennai.

This will be tough for the police to find the attacker and the investigation will get tough.

"We are saddened by the unfortunate incident that has led to the demise of our employee in Chennai.

We are working with the local authorities as they investigate the matter and will continue to provide our co-operation and support."
said Infosys in a statement.

Police say that the woman used to stay in a colony nearby to this station.

Everyone who knew her was shocked after hearing the news and seeing the picture of her in an article on facebook.
